emotive. ‘4817’ annual conference

Posted:

Last week, the emotive. team left their London offices and headed to Oakley Hall in the Hampshire countryside, for the annual ‘4817’ company conference. Over the 2 days, the whole team were involved in a variety of skills development workshops, teambuilding activities and fun.

The first guest speaker of 4817 was Farhana Ali, from campaign group Genetic Alliance/Rare Disease UK. Farhana briefed in the main activity for the 2 days, in which multidisciplinary teams competed to develop a full creative proposal and then pitch for a real disease awareness campaign, for both the general public and healthcare professionals across the UK.

Utilising the embedded emotive. lab engagement methodology, the teams came up with some fantastic ideas and creative executions to answer the RFP brief. These were judged at the end of the second day, with the winning idea being worked up in preparation for a full presentation to the Rare Disease UK team in the coming weeks.

Following the outside team-building activity, with the sun coming out just in time, the team were also treated to an inspiring and moving talk from motivational speaker Simon Wheatcroft, an ultra-runner who, having lost his sight at age 17, subsequently developed and adapted new technologies to overcome the many obstacles and achieve the impossible of competing solo in many marathons and endurance challenges.

Managing Director of emotive. Chris Edmonds said “I am hugely proud of every one of the emotive. team, and the knowledge, skills and creativity exhibited by everyone at our first annual conference. It absolutely reinforces the fact that we have an extremely talented and committed team, who are 100% focused on achieving the best possible outcomes for all of our clients”.
