On the morning of 25th July, the team of set off for our annual summer conference, 48.18. We spent two days at Gorse Hill in sunny Surrey bonding over a variety of team building activities, personal development workshops and engagement exercises.
48.18 kicked off with a stimulating talk by creative genius Tim Reid, co-creator of Car Share. He taught us new ways to think up fresh and original ideas as well as showing us how the energy in the room makes all the difference for a creative flow.
In the afternoon, we re-grouped for the Crystal Maze team building challenge which got everyone involved and working together. The Leadership Team presented Value Awards to a select few members of the team to acknowledge their outstanding work and dedication to the emotive. values including Imagination, Collaboration, Empowerment and Integrity. The team then enjoyed a much deserved BBQ whilst The Social Club presented their hilarious “Alternative Awards”. We wrapped up 48.18 with training workshops to improve our presenting and facilitating meetings skills, proving insightful and interesting.
Managing Director Chris Edmonds said, “It was hard to think that 48.18 could be much better than last year’s 48.17, but with the incredible weather, fantastic location and an inspiring team, we reset the benchmark this summer. With some motivating external speakers helping to get the creative cogs whirring, the emotive. team developed some amazingly engaging concepts for healthcare communications during our skills and development sessions. I am always so proud of the team spirit and values we have at emotive. and this annual event really demonstrates that to its fullest. With plenty of inspiration for the rest of 2018, I can’t wait to see what we can do at 48.19.”
